Gallaghers Easy French Toast
 

Prep: 10 min. Bake: 6-8 mins.


2 slices per serving ( makes 2 servings)
 

Ingredients:
 

    400g of day old bread, Gallagher’s White bloomer is the perfect choice for this. Delicious thick cut slices. ( Day old bread is used because the fresh bread will get too soggy when dipped into the egg mixture)


    2 eggs


    250ml of milk


    Knob of butter


    Salt and Pepper


 

 

Directions:
 

    Crack 2 eggs in a bowl


    Cover the eggs with milk


    Scramble the eggs and milk with a fork


    Add a pinch of salt and pepper (optional)


    Place the bread into the bowl to soak up the mixture


    Place frying pan over a medium heat, coat the pan lightly with butter


    Fry the bread until lightly browned, flip over and fry the other side


    Serve and enjoy
